I would like to thank everyone that voted for me in the 2008 primary.

I made an attempt to get on the Libertarian Party ticket for this fall, but the state party leadership didn't have the common decency to answer any of my emails.  I like some of their platform, but I think they are too extreme on limiting the Federal governments role.

I have been doing some research on the Green Party, and find that they are much more in line with my beliefs.  The problem is that the Democrats and Republicans in our state and across the country have made it near impossible for any of their candidates to get on the ballot.

This is one of the things that I've bitched about for years.  I think it is unconstitutional the way that the two major parties have intentionally set an uneven playing field when it comes to running for office.  If you want to run as a Democrat or Republican, all you have to do is sign your name on a piece of paper.  If you want to run as an independent or for the Green Party, you have to get an unreasonable amount of signatures in a limited amount of time, making it extremely difficult to accomplish your goal.

This is why that in the past, and again in 2010, I have and will run again as a Republican.  I believe the best way to defeat an enemy is to do so from within.
